BOB TOWNER’S letter in support of York Station ticket office staff is spot on (The Press, July 21).
I’ve already written to The Press about the excellent team with which the station is blessed.
Mr Towner concludes his letter with an appeal to Virgin Trains to “put customers before profit”.
Most of us wish that (apart, possibly, from shareholders).
Wouldn’t retaining these troupers and the fine service they provide and the satisfied customers that result be to the longer-term advantage of the company’s bottom line?
Joking aside, these York Station friendly faces are just the ticket.
