YOUR correspondents writing about “like” is no different than recent generations saying “you know what I mean” is it?
People saying “you know what” are just as annoying, but also things such as “a little bit more wet”. Weather girls/men are guilty of this. Also, “a bit of milk”.
What happened to “wet, wetter, wettest” and a drop of milk?
The Queen’s English is sadly going off to say the least.
