FROM 1979 to 1997 the Conservatives managed to pay off Labour’s deficit.

From 2010 to present day the Conservatives have tried to pay off Labour’s deficit and been vilified for it.

We no have a new generation of voters blinded by the promise of endless money.

Who can blame them? Being offered everything for nothing is an attractive prospect.

Do they still think Jeremy Corbyn actually cares about them or have they come to the conclusion that they have been used as a means to an end?

Fortunately wisdom usually comes with age and us older folks have learned from experience that nothing in life is free. A very valuable lesson.

Somebody along the way has to pay for it.

Unfortunately, as Spanish philosopher George Satayana said: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
