THE Ear Trust has been amazed/delighted by the generosity of The Press readers who donate to help Yorkshire’s deaf and partially sighted children.
The staff are able to carry on with the serious work of giving cochlear implants knowing that things needed before in assessment and afterwards in care and repair are a problem taken care of.
Their thanks is enormous so please let’s continue helping this vital work of giving a hearing life to these little ones.
Take a minute to think of the problems deafness causes. Isolation in particular and then the value of being able to hear, join their peers and socialise.
Helen Keller, herself both blind and deaf, said: “The problems of deafness are deeper and more important than blindness.
“Deafness means a loss of the most important intellectual stimulus.
“The sound of the voice that brings language sets thought astir and keeps us in the intellectual company of man.”
Please help me by donating old jewellery, fountain pens, anything which could bring in a few pounds at auction (this is completely free of charges). Wonderful.
Give me a ring on 01347 810325 and any question you have will be answered.
Again, huge thanks.
