THE title of a recent letter to The Press seemed to me a little ironic: “Let’s take control and get back in EU.”
I am possibly mistaken, but it seemed to me at the time that taking back control of our affairs from the costly EU bureaucracy was in the mind of many of those who voted to leave the EU.
Of course taking decisions of any kind can be difficult, particularly when the consequences are far reaching, and long lasting.
We all have to make many decisions in the course of life.
Do we marry; go to college or university; buy a house or rent, or stay at home with mum? Decisions have to be made, doing nothing is not an option, doing nothing is a decision in itself.
Having made our decisions, we have to wholeheartedly do our best.
Dithering about doesn’t increase anyone’s chance of success.
The future is unpredictable, but we can only look on life as a great adventure and fight the good fight.
