AT this moment in time all political parties should be pulling together to present a united front.

The whole of the country seems to be pulling in separate ways.

All the media, TV and press continue making mischief, and the doom and gloom we are radiating to the rest of the world is just nauseating.

Our elections are won or lost depending which way the media decide to play it.

It was so good to hear Michael Heseltine speak passionately about how our once wonderful country was holding up in the present climate.

Where have all our sensible government gone?

Who are all these elected representatives who sit in our House of Commons with their aggressive way of speaking, who shout and babble and who have no idea how to hold a sensible debate?

They are joined by news presenters who now think that the public want to see them bully, destroy and humiliate whoever they are interviewing.

How come the media seem to think that the public want to hear this sort of interviewing?

Oh for the days when the press and media presented the facts and did not add their own take on it.

The people do not decide elections now - the media hold our destiny in their hands.

We should be backing our Brexit negotiators, giving them support and encouragement.

Our country has made such progress over the past decade, but now we seem to stand alone.

In view of the stunned shock the morning after the referendum result, and knowing what we know now, would the country have voted remain?

I think perhaps they would.
