RACHAEL MASKELL says the forthcoming General Election is about the People versus the Establishment (The Press, April 24).

This is nothing new coming from her.

What she does not realise is that she is viewed along with her leader, Jeremy Corbyn, and his cronies as the Establishment by most of the England with their silly ideas of wanting to fill the country with immigrants, just one of their agendas the Labour Party have.

The tables have turned, Ms Maskell, and the Establishment bubble of which is London and other Labour voting areas such as York are not in vogue.

Ms Maskell hails the £10 minimum wage, which would obviously put lots of employers out of business and raise unemployment.

She says she would tackle congestion. I have lived in York for more than 60 years and the people that have created congestion have been the Labour councils, closing hundreds of roads around the city therefore creating any congestion.

She mentions re-nationalising the railways. They were terrible, full stop. Dirty, never on time. I was there, were you?
