THERE was a very interesting article about the 1644 Battle of Marston Moor in The Press (April 12).
I would have liked to attend the function at Marston Grange, but £36 would use up all my monthly pocket money.
Over 60 years ago, when I lived in Skelton, the retired village joiner and undertaker Fred Love told me that some years previously, when digging a grave in Overton churchyard, he had uncovered a skeleton encased in armour which he had covered over again.
As Overton is only five miles from Marston Moor, I wondered if it was a casualty of the battle.
