The Carlton Tavern in Acomb Road, York
IF Mr Wynn-Werninck (Letters, March 24) wishes to do something to protect the Carlton Tavern, he could nominate it for the York Local List (see www.yorklocallist.org.uk).
If City of York Council ever adopts a Local Plan (currently on hold) then it is envisaged that a Local List of Heritage Assets for York will be part of it.
This would at least mean it became a matter for planning consideration in the event of a proposal for demolition.
