I ATTENDED the recent York City v Eastleigh game with a friend.
I have MS and a kind York fan helped me to my seat.
He also waited to the end of the game to help me.
I told him about the first game I saw at Bootham Crescent, which was the 2-0 FA Cup win over Bolton in 1971.
I mentioned Barry Swallow, who he knew about even though he would not have been born then.
I did not ask his name, but his wife works in the club shop.
Through your paper, please can I pass on my thanks. He should be proud of himself.
Brian Buglass, York
