TRAVELLING out of York on the Wigginton Road, just before the turn-off for Crichton Avenue the road narrows on an incline up to the traffic lights.
Coming up to the queuing traffic, I positioned the car so as cyclists could pass on the inside.
Imagine my surprise to find a motorcyclist coming towards me - and on my side of the white line - shaking his head and tutting as he squeezed past.
It just goes to show that in trying to be considerate to cyclists, you hinder motorcyclists.
You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
