I FULLY agree with what Tim Murgatroyd says about tough times for the young (The Press, March 8).

I come from a very lucky generation, born into a secure health service, I got an excellent secure job with an excellent pension and my own home.

I also find that the young who I mix with are a decent set, but I fear for their future.

To me they should have the same chances in life as I and my generation had, and it is patently wrong and unforgivable to deny them these chances.

As I have said in letters before, every generation should work towards making life better for the next, and I shall be one who will.
