COULD I reply to two letters that appeared in The Press (February 15)?

The first is Christian Vassie and his 80 Caribbean islands.

When these trade deals were done, the UK was not even in the room, so to say it was a UK/EU deal is clearly wrong. We hardly had any choice in the matter.

This is one reason we want control of our own destiny.

Britain has a history of being a trading nation. We explored the world and created a large empire that shaped the modern world, all underpinned by engineering and recently technological innovation.

Please give me one reason why we cannot negotiate trade deals on our own behalf.

All it needs is a positive attitude, instead of all this rubbish saying that we cannot survive outside the EU.

Secondly, the letter from Kamran Hussain, in line with his Lib Dem colleagues who also misunderstand democracy and fail to accept the outcome of a national vote.

Let us imagine what would happen if we did indeed get another referendum and Kamran and his mates lost again.

And lastly can anyone please give me details of any Institute of Fiscal studies that got it right.
