Fossgate in York
RE Fossgate, why not block traffic between 10.30am and 4.30pm every day and so pedestrianise it, allowing not only A-boards but, weather permitting, tables and chairs?
And along with an arch (“Signs looking good for forgotten Fossgate”, The Press, February 13), an info board showing what’s available rather like they have just installed in Helmsley (The Press, February 13).
To increase footfall further, is there anywhere to install public loos?
