YET again, we are beginning to find out, drip by drip and drop by drop, about the current Tory Lib Dem coalition council in York.

On the front page (The Press, February 7) we see that “£600,000 clean air cash is still unspent”.

The current York administration is beyond belief.

They admitted at a meeting with the transport team (The Press, January 26) that the clean air zone was “undeliverable” without Park&Ride being an ultra low emission vehicles operation and yet at the same time an estimated 93 to 156 people die prematurely (obviously due to air pollution).

On top of this we have the report in the same issue (The Press, January 26), where we find that the much-needed homes planned for the British Sugar site off Boroughbridge Road were “to be put back to 2021”.

The coalition council of York need to realise that York needs houses as soon as possible and not some four or five years down the line.

I wonder if the current administration feels any guilt regarding depriving people of homes, or if at some time they will hold their hands up and admit that they have messed things up and that they have no idea of how to administer this fantastic city of York?
