FOLLOWING the news that the judicial review has landed on the side of the council, York City Knights seemingly in calmer waters and time lost over many years but in particular the last year or so, surely now is the time for the Community Stadium project to become a “good news story”.
Such has been the complexity of many issues that surround it, it is easy for people to see many negatives surrounding the project as a whole.
What should be remembered though is that the scheme represents great value for the people of York in terms of all the facilities it will bring.
Monks Cross has the opportunity to become a vibrant place for families to enjoy a day out and have a character that many out of town shopping centres and leisure complexes lack.
It is time this project was moved on so the public can see physical results at the site and begin to look forward to visiting what should be an excellent addition to this fine city of ours.
