A LEGAL challenge that has threatened to hold up progress on York’s much-delayed Community Stadium project has been dismissed in the High Court.
Cinema chain Vue had challenged the city council’s decision to let a larger cinema than had originally been approved be built as part of the wider scheme at Monks Cross.
That challenge has now been thrown out.
We hope that the project can now get back on track, so that York’s long-awaited 8,000-seat stadium can be ready in time for summer 2018.
