IT has recently come to light that Margaret Thatcher, when she was Prime Minister, wanted to privatise the NHS and education.

Tony Blair created academy schools and opened up the NHS to the private sector.

Under David Cameron, who said the NHS was safe in his hands, the NHS was further opened up to privatisation, for instance all hospital patients’ records are now managed by a private company.

The academisation of our schools has grown rapidly, encouraged by more money if you change to an academy.

The process of parcelling schools into groups of three, four or more is now taking place, at the same time dispensing with any parent involvement.

The next step is to introduce people from outside the area with business interests that would like to take over running schools for profit.

It won’t happen? We are already threequarters along the way to it happening.

Theresa May may well complete what Margaret Thatcher wanted to do if she gets back into power in 2020.
