The River Ouse during last winter's flooding
THE title “Plan to ease floods unveiled” regarding the Environment Agency’s efforts to deal with future high river levels was misleading.
The only way to ease any flood risk in York from the levels of the Ouse is to return to dredging it on an annual basis.
Perhaps once our nation is free of its present European shackles we could return to keeping it maintained for the good of the residents of this wonderful city.
