The NHS
ON a recent visit to France we needed to visit a GP to sort out a skin complaint, and we received good service and satisfactory treatment.
When the appointment was over, the doctor produced a bank card machine and we were charged the princely sum of 22 euros, and a receipt if we needed to reclaim the money. Simple. Our own NHS would do well to adopt this idea.
