THE neglected piece of land near the Monkgate roundabout at the start of Huntington Road has this year been taken under the wing of a lady living in Park Crescent.

It has been cultivated and planted out with nasturtium in the summer months, now replaced by winter pansies and, for the long term, hydrangea plants.

What a wonderful public spirited gesture brightening a dull corner for all and sundry, with all the dark nights upon us its nice to such a beautiful floral display.
