WHAT was made abundantly clear in the referendum campaign was that voting Leave would mean we would get our sovereignty back.

This means we would make all our own laws and not have the majority of them made by the EU.

The latest moan by the Remainers (Letters, October 12) is trying to say that sovereignty means that every aspect of our negotiating policy must be voted on by Westminster.

Seeing how large numbers of MPs are personally at odds with how the majority of their constituents voted, could they be trusted to vote in accordance with those wishes?

Labour and Lib Dem policy is to thwart Brexit at every turn, regardless of how each constituency voted.

The people have spoken for Brexit with their crosses on the ballot paper, and we will be leaving the EU despite all the plotting and subterfuge of those Remainers who just cannot accept a democratic vote.
