GOOD luck to the Government in their desire to improve the standard of education in England.

A necessary starting place must be to root out the left-wing neo-Marxist tutors spreading their ideology in teacher training colleges and universities.

This in turn would transform the teaching unions into bodies more concerned for the welfare of pupils than arguing with parents and governments.

Next insist on the reinstating of sensible percentage marks needed to pass an exam.

Currently it appears harder to fail than pass.

Our current standing in the world’s education tables are not to our credit and can only improve when the standard of teaching matches the aspiration of parents, irrespective of social environment.

Good teachers will not join failing schools. Also those same schools will only attract the weakest within the profession.

A fundamental change is both vital and essential for future generations to succeed and fulfil their ambitions; the consequences being a more prosperous standard of living for everyone.
