YOU’RE only as old as you feel, someone once said. But well-known York singer Ian Donaghy is taking things literally by bringing generations together in music and dance.
The poster has granddad leaping with a low slung guitar on his back, while another pensioner wields a trombone and dances with a young tambourine playing lass.
It sets a perfect scene for what Ian says is the magic that happens when two generations get together.
Both pairs of eyes lighting up by gaining so much from each other is the whole premise of the Grimston Court music festival.
We think it’s a great idea.
