THERE is only one thing wrong about rebuilding Hadrian’s Wall, as mentioned in Bob Waite’s letter “Questions over border control” (The Press, July 12).

Scotland will gain nearly all of Northumberland as the wall starts at Newcastle-on-Tyne - 68 miles from the Scottish border in the East and ends close to the border at Bowness-on-Solway in the West.

We don’t want that to happen as Northumberland is a wonderful part of England.

I don’t think the Scots would allow the Antonine Wall to be rebuild as it would reduce the size of Scotland by half.
