IN a few months women will practically rule the world.
Another female Prime Minister in Number 10 (yes!) - well, the men on both sides of the House have made an almighty mess of things.
And surely America will vote Hilary Clinton for President over Donald Trump.
Nicola Sturgeon is First Minister of Scotland, Beata Szydlo is Prime Minister of Poland, Christine Lagarde is managing director of the International Monetary Fund, and Baroness Scotland is Secretary General of the Commonwealth, to name but a few.
I remember when women were expected to be “barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen”, when women couldn’t get a mortgage, have a bank account, or get anything on credit without a husband’s signature.
And when they did go out to work, they would be paid half the salary of a man, usually for doing twice the work.
The good old days? Not if you were a woman.
