IT has been reported in the Independent newspaper that over one million people have signed a petition that a second referendum on the EU exit be held.

They state that because the majority was under 60% and the turnout less than 75% this was not a true reflection of the views of the electorate.

I wonder how many of this million are not old enough to vote or did not turn out because they thought it was a forgone conclusion.

They talk about democracy but if it does not go in their favour they want a second bite of the cherry.

Might I also point out that governments have been elected on smaller figures than this and national strikes have also been called on lesser turnouts.
