YORK has loads of empty space, sadly due to empty shops and offices that could be turned into housing as previously mentioned.
The country’s manufacturing has stiff competition from China and India.
York Science Park is expanding so this looks like the way to go and much of the Teardrop site is owned by Network Rail and the National Railway Museum, which whether good or bad will determine what happens.
All political parties could make whatever is developed environmental friendly.
As outlined in The Press (June 21) there is a lot of wasted space.
I’m pleased that there is some good news in tough economic times.
