WILL we really have Britain’s future in our own hands if we vote to leave in the EU referendum?

Foreigners have £1 trillion invested in our businesses.

Over half of our railway, water, gas and electricity companies are foreign owned.

We will need French-built nuclear reactors to keep our lights on in winter, we have our great ships built in France, Sweden etc. Our car companies are thriving thanks to Japanese and German knowhow.

Successive British governments have been selling off the family silver for decades, we are trillions of pounds in debt. Will leaving the EU change all this?

We have been mired in political correctness for at least 30 years and because of that it has been impossible to have rational debates about immigration, but will that change if the Brexiters win?

Michael Gove and Boris Johnson have left Nigel Farage to do all the dirty work for the leave campaign and are already starting to distance themselves from him, by talking of an amnesty for illegal immigrants and how much immigrants contribute to our economy.

So sorry folks, but if you think that Nigel Farage’s belief that we can bring immigration down to 50,000 a year, you will be sadly disappointed.

He may have been useful to the Leave campaign but, win or lose, Mr Farage will soon be confined to the margins of British politics.
