DESPITE David Cameron’s claim that he will seek restrictions on migrants coming to the UK, the simple fact is that the EU will not allow it.
Angela Merkel, in particular, has made this abundantly clear on several occasions.
Unless we are able to stem the flow, the number of economic migrants arriving in this country will result in more people seeking jobs.
When the supply of labour exceeds the number of available jobs the price of labour goes down - exactly what the large employers want.
But with reduced income comes reduced spending and, consequently, a reduced tax take by the government.
With the costs of the NHS rising the Chancellor of the Exchequer will then face having to either increase taxation or restrict the many treatments currently available on the service.
This is just one of many reasons why I believe that the appropriate course of action is to vote Brexit on Thursday. That’s what I will be doing.
