OUR government believes that remaining in the EU is best for jobs, a stronger economy, providing security.

If we look what has happened to jobs in York while being in the EU, we see that the jobs at Terry’s, half the jobs at Nestle, the jobs at the wagon works that replaced the carriage works have all gone to Europe. The new factories were probably set up with the money we pay into the EU every day.

In the local economy in lower paid jobs the British-born worker has largely been replaced by EU migrants. The pay and conditions have been made worse, unprotected it seems by EU law. Ask anybody on a zero contract.

If Britain is to remain a country and not part of a super state, we need to leave the EU, take back our sovereignty, control immigration, not be dictated to by 27 other countries, bureaucrats, multi-nationals or foreign presidents.
