I WAS appalled to read that Tadcaster’s Stutton Road Post Office is to close from 12.30pm on Saturday, February 13 until 1pm on Monday, February 22 for a refurbishment (The Press, February 2).
Does the Post Office not realise that Tadcaster is split in two and that the new Commercial Street Post Office is approximately a 20-mile drive away?
It would have been sensible to have allowed the Westgate Post Office to remain open until the refurbishment of the Stutton Road one was completed.
