CHRIS MONCRIEFF (The Press, January 26) argues that universities are being selective in banning controversial speakers from their premises, and then castigates Parliament for debating whether Donald Trump should be barred from entering our country.

Mr Moncrieff himself is being selective here because our Parliament is obliged to debate any issue that receives a certain level of signatories to an online petition. Obviously to his mind, some free speech is more acceptable than other free speech.
