THE sound of stable doors closing can be heard across the EU as they finally agree to tighten up procedures on their external borders (The Press, November 21).

Unfortunately, the horses have already bolted into their lands with an unknown number of terrorists there, plotting. With EU passports, they will be able to move from country to country.

The EU’s determination to always allow free access for its citizens, even after recent events, shows a dogma that imperils all of Europe.
