WHEN a country is in possession of a nuclear weapon, ie Trident, it suggests to me that alone is one sound reason to think our enemies will have second thoughts about using theirs.
The viewpoint of Mark Gladwin (Letters, November 17) on an alternative to Trident is solidly based on rhetoric not substance.
May we inquire what would be his replacement for Trident?
