SPEED cameras divide opinion like little else. Some say they help to save lives, others that this is yet another cash cow to milk motorists dry. And that's just about the ones we can see. Imagine, then, being nabbed by a camera hidden inside a horsebox.
Yes it sounds far-fetched, but Inspector Mark Hughes tells us the aim is to catch high-end speeding offenders in the East Riding and he says motorbikes, in particular, are being caught.
It's a novel idea and, you may be surprised to learn, within the strict guidelines governing speed traps. Motorists, on the other hand, are up in arms.
Perhaps the best that can be said is none of them have anything to fear if they drive within the speed limit.
