WE'RE always being told to 'Have a Break', however, for 80 years KitKat has done anything but. And while the world's most successful chocolate bar may now be an octogenarian, it's still young at heart and no less popular among the present generation. Indeed every year enough two finger KitKats are sold to go round the world more than one and a half times.
Devotees include Google engineers who are such big fans that they have adopted the name for their next Android system. Then there was the limited run of rebranding KitKats as YouTube Break and you couldn't get more 21st century than that.
Some say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but it seems York's most famous confectionary product knows better.
Happy 80th birthday KitKat.
