IF York Soup is an inspiring idea, then Ian Wood is an equally inspiring man.
Ian suffers from a rare mitochondrial disease which has left him confined to a wheelchair and with severely impaired vision.
That didn't stop the 37-year-old from taking part in a fund-raising skydive a few years ago.
Now he's planning an equally daredevil exploit - a bungee jump at Manchester Quays on July 11.
The aim is to raise money for three charities - including Children in Need and an organisation doing research into mitochondrial disorders.
Good for you, Ian. Have a great day in Manchester next month.
