THE killing of York estate agent Nikki Waterhouse by former soldier Jeremy Green in 2013 was deeply shocking.

Nothing will bring her back.

But it is heartening to see Nikki being remembered through the work of a charitable trust set up in her name.

The Nikki Waterhouse Trust, launched last October, aims to support UK children and families affected by natural disasters.

It was a cause close to Nikki's heart - and already the charity has raised more than £10,000.

We can't help feeling she'd have approved.
