WITH regards to the letter of May 20 from Richard Bridge, he is wrong in his assumption that the rich will get richer and the pensioner and poor will be sidelined.

The electorate has spoken. Obviously voters were concerned that Labour, SNP and Lib Dems and Ukip were not to be trusted with a growing economy.

Note Ukip’s only MP is a defected Conservative, not a genuine Ukip member, a turncoat.

The Lib Dems should have stayed with the coalition which they helped create, but they were panicked by the polls.

We in farming have seen the lowest prices for all commodities we produce, so there should be no need to have food banks.

The shops as usual do not reflect this situation. Supermarket price wars do not help, only exacerbate this.

Food should be priority ahead of alcohol, cigs and tattoos.
