I WENT to a meeting the council had arranged about building houses on green belt land in Potter Lane, Heworth.
What a waste of time as the councillor present and an architect just kept saying they had the right to build on green belt land.
No matter what I said about the many different wildlife that live there (deers, owls, bats), they would not listen.
What delight it has been for me this week to read in The Press that councillors Chris Steward and Keith Aspen are going to be leading the council and are saying saving green belt is their priority.
I believe Labour have already ruined most of this land, so it will be great to see people with a bit more thought as to where these needed houses can be built.
Mr Steward and Mr Aspen say they will talk to people from areas affected and I would gladly talk about the area in Pottery Lane.
