IT IS ironic that the SNP played such a big part in the Tories getting a majority.

Their popularity in Scotland and their expected 50-plus seats bolstered SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon that with her expected balance of power she could make demands of a future Labour government when she had helped, in her own words, “to do anything to keep the Tories out”.

These actions spooked Middle England, and caused many of them to vote Conservative “just to keep the SNP out”. Justice or not?
