I HAVE finally got round to thanking all those who helped me on the day of my accident when I fell on January 27 in Micklegate.
All praise to the ambulance service and those members of the community that came to my assistance, called the emergency services and supported me at this time.
Thanks also go to A&E staff for their attention, for the care over the weeks to come provided by City of York Council and Penny Hutchinson, and to my family. My quality of life has much improved.
Thanks also to the Lodge at Heslington respite care, where I stayed until all preparations for coming home were complete.
I realised that we have a community that does give support when needed.
A big thank-you all.
Barbara Moody, Swann Street, Nunnery Lane.
