WE don’t very often go into town, but earlier this week had occasion to go in for something.
My wife now has serious walking difficulties, so we went from King’s Square, and down Newgate towards the market.
All along the way down Newgate there were containers on the floor near the shops, full of cigarette ends. It looks that these have not been cleared in a long time.
What a welcome to our overseas visitors, who come to look at King’s Square and the market.
How has the council let the area get like that and can something be done, please?
