I FULLY agree with the policy of The Press in regard to not publishing political letters from candidates and residents after certain dates in the run-up to the elections, but the vastly reduced offerings show how much politics, whether we like it or not, weaves its way into our everyday lives and the concerns of most of us. Both barrels are recharging for May 8.
Geoff Robb, Hunters Close, Dunnington, York.
• Editor’s note: While we felt it was important to impose an election purdah, normal service can be resumed after May 7.
We look forward to hearing from familiar contributors such as Mr Robb, and everyone else who has a view to air. We also always welcome letters from occasional contributors and letter writers new to us.
