READING The Press on Thursday, April 9 – “Parking hampers vision of square” – approaching from Petergate visitors would get the impression of King’s Square being a safe walking area.

One leaves the nice walking area and continues into a road, Colliergate, turning round and finding cars or vans behind you. This, in my opinion, should not be allowed. Might I say at this time I walk with two sticks and although the fairing is good, I have nearly been on the ground twice during wet weather.

Might I also say that I am not pleased regarding number six bus shelter being taken from us and given to number nine Park&Ride. We now have a shelter (standing room only) with three seats outside too low to sit on and when it rains they are of course wet through, no use to anybody.

It’s time somebody listened to the complaints and did something about it. It would be appreciated.
