I WAS glad to see that Heather Causnett (Letters, April 22) agrees with my letter regarding child discipline, but I am afraid I cannot agree fully with her letter.

In her letter she blames bad behaviour solely on the shoulders of mothers. What about fathers, do they not have a part to play in their children’s discipline?

Unless of course she is talking about one-parent families, discipline certainly starts at home but it is generally a shared responsibility. How often do we hear the saying “just you wait till your father gets home”?
