IS it just me? Or are there others who are sick and tired of numerous people complaining about the Tour de France and now complaining about the Tour de Yorkshire coming through the beautiful city of York, and temporary jamming some streets.
What’s the matter with these people?
We should all be proud that both these iconic events are taking place here.
Having lived in Stamford Bridge for some time now, we are delighted when these events include our lovely large village.
We will have road closures for the Tour de Yorkshire and in October more closures for the York Marathon and everyone is pleased.
And don’t forget the advantages for trade, hotels etc, far outweigh anything else.
So stop moaning, please.
Bryan Lawson, Burton Fields Road, Stamford Bridge, York.
