I HAVE seen several reports recently about first time voters saying they can not be bothered to vote because they do not trust any party.
In some ways I think we all agree with those views, but please stop and think of what you are doing when you do not vote.
Thousands of men and women fought and died so we could, so we can make our feelings and views felt and they gave us the freedom to express what we think.
These voters do not realise how lucky they are and that they could be living in a country that tells you how to vote and where democracy is dead.
So think of the men and women who died, and for heaven’s sake realise how lucky you are, and respect what other people have done for us.
Visit the cemeteries in Normandy and elsewhere in the world and you may change your mind.
