THANK you for all the work you have achieved to give the Minster and the city such a glorious legacy of the east window.
My 8am daily walk to work takes me past the Minster and for five years the masons have been chipping away at great heights through wind, rain, cold and sun.
I wish to convey sadness that the masons are now being made redundant after five years dedication.
What a loss for York Minster.
I trust that unlike other cathedrals, York is not going to lose its stone yard, it is part of the church’s life.
Good luck and thank you York stonemasons.
D Hill, York.
